Possible wolf spider? - Hogna

Possible wolf spider? - Hogna
Brazoria County, Texas, USA
October 15, 2006
Size: body 1.25 inches
This spider was found in my garage. It's behavior was very sluggish; it made no attempt to evade or escape and had to be gently nudged out of the garage where it would be safe (we have a cat who hunts). It's very large. Body is about 1 1/4" long. First time I've seen one of these.

Moved
Moved from Wolf Spiders.

Yes, Wolf Spider.
My guess is a Hogna species. See guide page.
