Small yellow fly. Tachnid? Flutter fly? - Tomoplagia obliqua
Columbia, Boone County, Missouri, USA
August 2, 2013
Size: Several millimeters
Found on Ironweed (Vernonia sp.). Something tells me this one shouldn't be so hard, but I've spent a couple hours on it so far with no luck. Any ideas? Thanks!
