As I started our tai chi set, I looked left and saw this insect. We finished a half hour later, and it was still there, so I took my best shots. Two hours after that, it still hadn't moved.

Question: Do the appendages at the left include both antennae and legs, or is something seriously awry?

The appendages at left include both. Stick insects stretch them out in order to help them maintain camouflage.
