Size: 1.25 cm
There are around 35 species of honeybees in Alberta. I don't see any pollen sacs, and the markings are difficult to match up with the (huge) database of images. Help?

oops - I guess (I'm really new at this bug stuff) I meant "bumblebee" as the following is posted on www.weaslehead.org - "The Nevada Bumble Bee is one of the 35 species or so of the easily recognized and beloved Bumble Bee species that are found in Alberta."

 
I know of only 27 bumble bee species recorded from Alberta
and two additional possible species
