Trachyscelida

Trachyscelida
Yuma, Yuma County, Arizona, USA
April 7, 1979
the specimen probably belongs to the genus Trachyscelida (a ventral view would help confirm this identification). (S. Clark, 2013 pers. comm. to MAQ)

LeConte described Agelastica bicolor (now T. bicolor) from Yuma, AZ.

Specimen shown is from Panama. Note that "there are only two species recorded from Central America. These are T. bicolor (LeConte) and T. robusta (Jacoby). The aedeagi of these two species are quite different, but the beetles are otherwise very similar." (S. Clark, 2013 pers. comm. to MAQ)
