Explanation of Names
Our subspecies in North America is P. eversmanni thor.
Identification
Closely related to, and similar to Parnassius clodius, but usually smaller in size and with wings decidedly tinged yellow. Dark markings tend to be better developed in P. eversmanni.
Differs from Parnassius smintheus / phoebus in the same ways as does P. clodius; in addition to being yellower.
Range
north from northern British Columbia and across Alaska, mostly in mountains. Also in mountains of Asia.
Food
larval host: Corydalis and perhaps Dicentra
