Size
Meyrick (1929) reported the wingspan of the holotype ♂ is 14 mm.

Range
Widespread in North America with records from Alberta to New Mexico. (3)
Holotype ♂, Mountain Park, New Mexico, elevation 6,700', in BMNH. (3)
Season
The main flight period is April to August.
Food
The larvae feed on several Aesculus species.
Aesculus flava Aiton (yellow buckeye)
Aesculus glabra Willd. (Ohio buckeye)
Aesculus pavia L. (red buckeye)
Life Cycle
The larvae overwinter and begin emerging in April.
