This European species was described by Obraztsov (1953) as Dichrorampha gueneeana. But unknown to Obraztsov, this species had been introduced to northwestern North America where it had previously been described by McDunnough (1935) as Dichrorampha vancouverana. Miller (1999) formally synonymized the names.
Range
Europe. Has spread across northern US and southern Canada from both coasts.
Food
The larvae feed in the rootstock of yarrow (Achillea millefolium), tansy (Tanacetum vulgare), and Ox-eye daisy (Chrysanthemum lellcanthemum). Possibly feeds on Achillea lanulosa.
