Beetle ID Request - Omorgus

Beetle ID Request - Omorgus
Camp Wood, Edwards County, Texas, USA
September 4, 2013
Is this one of the Hastate Hide Beetles (Omorgus)? Size estimated on thread count of the sheet would be apx. 36 mm.

punctatus/inflatus thing?
36 mm ≈ 1½" --can't be anywhere near that... the largest member of our fauna is ~20 mm

Moved from Beetles.

Another big mistake. RLZ once suggested that I calibrate my sheet so that I would never have to say "tiny". So I tried and failed miserably. I will catch one next time I see one and get a real measurement. I will also correct my notations on the Darkling size. Sorry.

Moved from ID Request.
