Ron Hemberger, Nature Boy - male

Ron Hemberger, Nature Boy - Male
San Joaquin Marsh, Irvine, Orange County, California, USA
July 29, 2005
Two old guys come up to this one old guy while I'm shooting. One of them asks: "What are you doing?"

Uncharteristically, I stifle a snide comment.

"Taking photographs of insects," I reply.

"What do you call someone who takes photographs of insects?" comes a second question.

"A nature boy."

Long live "nature boy"!
I have always loved this story...

It's been 5 years since these photos -- time to post the furrier, spectacle-free version of yourself!

I would have done exactly that, probably today.
But Nikita wasn't available.

I finally bit the bullet...
...and posted some pics of myself. I thought about trying to follow the latest trend by finding some Russian(s) to pose with, but in the end decided to settle for a couple solo images -- I am 1/4 Russian though, so maybe that counts for something?

Hey Ron! Always nice to put a face to a name. Always appreciate your help.

I love it.
Compound words like that have a great appeal to the German in me. Thankyoualottus, Charles.
