The name Tychius suturalis Schaeffer, 1908, is a junior primary homonym of T. suturalis Brisout, 1861. Since Schaeffer's species was misidentified as Tychius, the "actuality principle" (Mayr 1969) is cited as justification for retention of the name suturalis for this Sibinia. (1)
