syrphid fly - Eurimyia stipata

syrphid fly - Eurimyia stipata
Point Pelee National Park, Point Pelee, Ontario, Canada
July 9, 2013
Size: ~1cm
Observed on American water-willow, which was growing in shallow water along the edge of a lake. These syrphids were present over the course of the day and on different days; these pictures were taken about 9am.

I have been struggling with the identification of the various individuals I saw, trying to determine between Helophilous/Parhelophilus/Lejops. This specimen seems to have a whitish coloration, which others in the area appeared either to yellowish, dark or light, in color.

Lejops lineatus, female.
I thought it looked familiar:

Male looks very different! BTW, pay the most attention to the pattern, the least to color when IDing these. (Ambient light and camera can distort color considerably.)
