Looks like Cerotoma (bean leaf beetle genus) but the antennae are not right. What is this?

I don't know if Ed has any photos, but he has co-authored the two main books on chrysomelids, (1), (2) as well as the Chrysomelid chapter in American Beetles (3)... He also has a hundred thousand chrysomelids on pins in his personal collection.

Cerotoma

the antenna are strangely formed in the males of at least most species of Cerotoma. I´ve seen males fight over a leaf with their heads facing each other using their antenna to get the other beetle of the leaf. Maybe this is their use. An other option could be to get a better grip on the female while mating (this is more commonly found in Chrysomelids).
