Erebidae-Catocala obscura - Catocala robinsonii

Erebidae-Catocala obscura - Catocala robinsonii
Franklin County, Missouri, USA
September 12, 2013
This is a great moth for me to submit today because as well being a very cool moth, and a Missouri first for BugGuide it also marks a personal milestone for me being the three hundredth Missouri moth species that I've documented to date. Catacalas' are difficult IDs' for me but I'm confident of this one. I made the ID through pics and info from here on Bug Guide and on Bill Oehlke's Catocala site.

Also a good time to thank all the great people who make this place work. Too many to name but you know who you are. Thank you all!
