Agrotis volubilis - Voluble Dart - Agrotis ipsilon

Agrotis volubilis - Voluble Dart - Agrotis ipsilon
Blanchard township, Lafayette County, Wisconsin, USA
July 31, 2013
I'm having a hard time telling if he could be Agrotis volubilis - Voluble Dart or just a well worn something else. Thanks for your help!

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

aka "Dark Sword-grass" or "Black Cutworm"
A pest of corn crops...which we have plenty of in Wisconsin.

Ipsilon Dart?
Looks a lot like The Ipsilon Dart, also in the genus Agrotis.

That matches the pics on BugG
That matches the pics on BugGuide more than the pics in my book! Thanks again!
