Size: each about 1 cm long

It comes from an Imperial moth and is the largest frass I have seen.
Looks like compressed sawdust, fibreboard.

I just found
This combination in my yard. I found lot of this 10mm frass on the ground and there was Imperial Moth caterpillar on pine when I looked up :)

 
Yes, you are right. It is the Imperial.
I was using my little golden guide for this ID and didn't look closely enough. I corrected the reference on my post.
