question mark? - Polygonia interrogationis

question mark? - Polygonia interrogationis
West Alexander, Washington County, Pennsylvania, USA
September 15, 2013
Size: 1 1/2 in
found on Verbesina helianthoides, appears to be ready to chrysali-ze ( my term for lack of a better one)

Looks like a Questionmark - Polygonia interrogationis
I like "chrysali-ze". I think most common term would be "pupate", [turn into a pupa], but yours has a ring to it.

Likely was feeding on a tree above or nearby, or perhaps some nearby Nettles.

Moved from ID Request.

thanks
David, I actually ended up emailing Dave Wagner and asking him.. he responded right away! thanks so much for your time, and comment, yeah I make up my own stuff so I remember what it means.. lol.. Chrysalize, J-up, and Mcat for monarch cats, BScat for Black Swallowtail and so on, works for me!
