I thought maybe a giant lacewing but the head doesn't seem right then I thought maybe a doodle bug but don't see anything similar there...it cant be a caddis..can it?

I think your right. My next guess would be a Fishfly
Since the wings are held tentlike, giant lacewing seems like a good fit
