I shot this species a few years back but the pictures (long since frassed) were too poor for an ID. These are better, though far from great, but hopefully IDable this time around.

To me it sort of looks like this one, Valenzuela confluens, presumably female, which would be a new one for me:

But I am prepared to be way off. Based on bugguide images for that species it looks like females are much darker than the males.

ID confirmed by E.L. Mockford: "Maoripsocus is probably correct.
"An introduced species is established on coastal California."
