Large spiders around my house

Large spiders around my house
Guerneville, Sonoma County, California, USA
September 16, 2013
Size: 1.5-2 inches leg span
I have seen many around the outside of my house and one indoors. There is one that I see occasionally between the cracks in my deck that I have lured out and it may be more like 2.5 inches leg span. This one is a little smaller than the biggest that I have seen, but is still large compared to most other spiders I see around here. Apparently this is a couple living in the hole shown here, which is 3 inches wide.

Moved from ID Request. It's similar to Tegenaria, but actually one of the spiders in the family of Hacklemesh Weavers. I think it's probably one of the Callobius species. They aren't medically significant spiders. As mentioned this one is the male and the one in the 'tube' is the female.

Ok, thank you! I appreciate the info. Nice to know a little about these critters that are all over my house.

Male Tegenaria
Lookes like a species of Tengenaria house spider.
