Torture
Husband just said the only reason I got this pic is the dragon probably figured it tortured me enough trying to get it while it was alive so it gave me a break and died on our porch so I could see what it was. ;-)

It's not just you
I can't get those darn Green Darners to light, unless they're just emerged or are mating. I think most dragonflies-in-flight photos are taken out of frustration, rather than artistic considerations. Currently, I'm arguing with two butterflies!

argue all you want
If you're dragons are anything like my dragons they just fly past you and laugh evilly, daring you to sit for hours watching as they zip a foot from you. Currently I'm arguing with the green darner and regal darner and 2 butterflies. Good luck.
