Trypoxylon politum
....my guess anyway judging by the more squarish head on it. The wing shape and pattern though and the fact that it is on a flower which the Sphex pensyvanicus are known to frequent I could be persuaded to change that guess. I'll do more research on the two and see if I can narrow down anymore defining traits to confirm either one or the other.
