grub - Osmoderma

Size: ~50mm - est.
I found several of these large grubs under the bark of a dead tree which had been been uprooted by a storm earlier this summer. I took several photos and then covered them up again with the bark. Wondering if this could be the grub of a Giant Stag Beetle.
