Z. malvae?
Might this not be Z. malvae? I don't know Nearctic beetles and don't have a proper key to these, but from looking at plausible images (yes - sorry!) I would tend to *wishful thinking* think that this pattern is more like what is often regarded as malvae (if the two are distinct?).
Any thoughts? Mike?
