wood borers

wood borers
Cross Plains, Dane County, Wisconsin, USA
September 21, 2013
A tree which was toppled by the wind earlier this year (it had been dead for some time already) is now host to a large number of organisms including whatever is making these piles of sawdust. Any idea what might be doing this?

cerambycids?
that would be first guess anyways. is this a pine?

most likely oak
I think the tree was most likely an oak judging by the bark. The tree had been dead for some time before it was toppled by wind. Most of the bark had already come off the tree before it fell.
