Tibicen Species.
Though I do not particularly think it looks too T. lyricen from what I know. Can you get a ventral of the individual?

no ventral
sorry, no ventral view. already released, as it was a handful to get it to stay still, and flipping it onto its back was out of the question.
I found some pics of more southern variants that might be a better fit
thanks,

If I had to guess...
...without a ventral, I would guess that this is a Tibicen davisi. The coloration reminds me of it but I cannot tell you more. I will let Bill Myers or Bill Reynolds weigh in on this...southern cicada species are quiet confusing for me.

Leaning towards a Tibicen resh...
It just has that "feel" to it...
Anyone know the size of it?
Cheers

Then it maybe a resh.
If it is 5cm including wings, I have good inkling that it is a T. resh instead of a T. davisi.

Good point
A size measurement would make it easier.
