Astylidius parvus. The red stuff I'm guessing mites. If so it sure is a heavy infestation!

Ha! I thought the same. BTW,
Ha! I thought the same. BTW, I still have clicks for you to look over. I did get a nice one a couple of months ago - Chalcolepidius viridipilis. Have only been able to find one lit reference for it in AL - collected in Mobile Co. My specimen was collected in Sumter Co.
