Attached Lone Star Tick - Amblyomma americanum
Lexington Wildlife Management Area, Cleveland County, Oklahoma, USA

Lone Star Tick, Amblyomma americanum?

Moved tentatively
The lack of a white macula could be because it is a nymph. Unlike the other I recently commented on, I can see evidence of festoon here even though the tick is in an early engorgement state.

Moved from Ticks.
