This fancy Meloidae, - Epicauta stuarti

Size: ~11mm
is sporting a thick orange and black setae coat. It was almost over-looked among the many Cantharidae on a yellow flowering plant. ~40 north of Clayton on side of the road near the intersection of NM-406 and SR-456.

Brady, JD & V. I have a not so good live picture of this specimen which, I put back onto the flowers and it took off but, it landed on a grass stem then I took the photo then re-captured - luckily!
