Unusual to see one of these expose the hind wing this much. Is this ID correct?

On Oct. 1, 2013 I changed this post to agree with the comment of Randy Hardy.

I sent this picture to Ed Knudson who verified Randy Hardy was "right on track". Ed said that G. erroraria have been seen in Texas in the Rio Grande Valley and occasionally Uvalde Co. and the Kerrville area.

Don't think so
I'm no expert but the PM line and abdomen look wrong for Synglochis perumbraria to me. I see Glaucina escaria but I'm not sure it ranges as far east as Texas, but does appear to at least reach New Mexico. Also, that group is VERY difficult.

Thank you
Glaucina escaria was my other choice, but I thought that the tiny bit of grey at the bottom of the hind wing might indicate the Synglochis. I have seen several like this, but never with such a good hind wing view.

Studied the 2 and now I see the PM line difference and also noticed that the Glaucina has some gray on the lower hind wing.
