Snowberry Checkerspot? - Euphydryas

Snowberry Checkerspot? - Euphydryas
Umatilla National Forest, 4900 feet ele. South of Pilot Rock, Umatilla County, Oregon, USA
June 1, 2013
Size: ~25mm
I believe this is a Snowberry Checkerspot - Euphydryas chalcedona. I found examples on 'Butterflies and Moths of North America' and they sure look alike. I hope this is correct as we need a picture on BugGuide!

It does look like Euphydryas, and quite likely you are correct
about the species, but the coloring is varied in larvae of a few Euphydryas species, and they can look a lot alike.

I'll come back to this one soon, if someone doesn't beat me to it.

Moved from ID Request.

Thanks David,
The examples I saw looked like this...but, there are a lot of Euphydryas chalcedona around this area that reinforce my ID.
We will see.
