Moved from Spiders. Wow, this genus went from 5 species listed on our info page to 40 species. I know very little about these and since there are so many of them I think it's best we leave this at genus level for now. I'll talk to Lenny and see if there is some range info or some other info that can help us be sure of his ID.

Aptostichus species unknown

I had further conversation with Mr.Vincent, alerting him to the fact the documentation he provided me said the species killerdana was thought to be extinct (even though the location was appropriate). He said it would be better, in that case, to leave the ID at simply Mygalomorph.

Aptostichus?

I'm not familiar with most mygalomorphs yet, but I wonder if this might be a male Aptostichus. Let's see what others think.

I think I'll only go so far as to say it is a Mygalomorph of unknown species, since it would take an expert examining the actual spider to go further with any confidence.
