unknown beetle undr bark - Bactridium striolatum
Palmetto State Park, Gonzales County, Texas, USA
October 4, 2013
Size: ~ 2 mm
We can't all be handsome. Found several of these under the bark of a fallen tree. The log was covered with a cinnamon colored very aromatic mold.

Moved
Moved from Bactridium.

Probably B. striolatum
But not detailed enough of a shot

They are handsome
To me anyway. I'd love to know what kind of mold/what kind of tree they were under.

"My bugs" are not thought beautiful but I disagree
I could get you a sample of that mold (if that'd what it is) the next time I'm at Palmetto State Park..

Moved
Moved from Beetles.

How about Monotomidae
something like this one.
