Catocala lacrymosa
This is Catocala lacrymosa, form evelina, I believe.

After going stir crazy, it does look like Tearful
I was looking for the white markings on the leading edge of the forewing and where they meet, form a white "W" and "U" patterns. Apparently the forewings are slightly open and folded at the leading edge which makes it difficult to see any white markings. I took several photos but they were all about the same position and quality but my intial shot which is very fuzzy shows the underwing to be black with some white fringe which is indicative of Tearful Underwing. The FW markings are spot on for Tearful.
I've added the one pic which shows some of the underwing which I will frass when ID confirmed.
