Greater Spreadwing Damselfly - Archilestes grandis - male

Greater Spreadwing Damselfly - Archilestes grandis - Male
Canon City, Fremont County, Colorado, USA
October 4, 2013
This was one of more than 30 damselflies, all I saw clearly appeared to be same species, in a pretty small area (20x50 feet) of tall forbs and grasses about 25 feet from a large pond. It has a long and continuous thorax stripe but it doesn't look yellow as noted on SouthwestDragonflies.net and other sources. I think this is a male with a pincer-like abdominal appendage.

Moved from ID Request.

I believe "yellow" is loosely defined on these.
(Many look more like what I'd call "ivory".)

I also believe you've called it right.
