Dave and I on a cold Spring day in the woods, looking for beetles under bark no doubt. I took the photo by extending my arm as far as possible and snapping the shutter. Who needs self-timers? Dave loves a good walk in the woods and so do I.

My cat Darwinia
goes psocid hunting with me as long as I stay on her home territory. She loves to demonstrate her tree climbing skills but sometimes lies on my beating sheet and won't get up. I can always look through leaf litter until she is ready to move.

I hope
I hope Darwinia's photo will soon be joining us at BugGuide, a picture of her "helping" with the beating sheet would be great!

Are you sure that isn't 'Mr. Wilson' from "Home Improvement?" :-)

On my mind
"Wilson" was very much on my mind as I selected this picture! I started to say something about it but then thought maybe that was too obscure a reference. I'm glad someone has the same obscurities as I do!
