Tiny bugs on countertop

Tiny bugs on countertop
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania County, Pennsylvania, USA
October 6, 2013
Size: head of a pin
Keep finding these things crawling all over one of my countertops. They are all very tiny- some are barely visible. This one is about the size of the head of a pin and is what I would call a medium sized version (i killed the larger ones, which themselves are only the size of an upper case letter "I" printed in 12 point font). The smallest ones would fit within the dot on a lower case letter "i" I took this with a 60-100x "microscope" putting my ipone up to the eyepiece. They dont fly, there are sometimes 20-30 clustered around a drop of juice or a crumb of food.

That's the one
That was a quick id, thank you sir. Not the best photograph ive ever taken but it got the job done i guess. Now to go about trying to get rid of them...

Your pics are excellent by the way. Tempting me to go to the camera set-ups portion of this site but i don't think my wallet can handle it.
