horse bot fly - Gasterophilus intestinalis - female

horse bot fly - Gasterophilus intestinalis - Female
Thompson Falls, Sanders County, Montana, USA
October 6, 2013
Size: 17 mm
Caught this fly while it was laying yellow eggs on a horse's side. I think it might be Gastrophilus intestinalis.

I put this in the freezer for 5 min. in order to be able to get these shots.
