Mite

Mite
Acushnet, Bristol County, Massachusetts, USA
October 5, 2013
Size: approx. 0.4 - 0.5 mm
Found on a basaltic rock with tiny cavities.

Nice find!
I admit... I'm not 100% confident about this ID... but the size and gestalt strongly suggest Camerobiidae... which is a new addition to BG! They are common in leaf litter and to me look like very tiny erythraeines.

Thanks Ray.
Quite interesting.
