This appears to be T. harrisi, the most northern of the three eastern Thevenetimyia species.

looks quite a bit like the pics already in the guide... though i'd wait til a dipterist comes along to confirm this.

This is indeed Thevenetimyia, although a different species from those already in the guide.

i think it's a bombyliid. It may be in the subfamily toxophorinae, but thats a guess.
