Trichiusa sp. Very distinct and cool athetine. Compost pile, hmm... I'll make a mental note. I haven't figured out how to reliably collect this genus yet.

 
What I do
though it's gross, I dump a bunch of compost onto plastic so the little staphylinids can't crawl into the ground. You have to be quick though because they like to fly.

No worries, good to know I still got it! Feels like a long time since I worked on aleos, I can definitely see myself getting back into the North American fauna in the future...so much left to do, so much Casey to 'undo'.
