This looks like Psorophora ferox to me, judging by the apical light stripes on the tergites (or am I imagining that?), the pointed abdomen, the purplish legs, and the smattering of light scales across the scutum. If you have a shot of the ends of the hindlegs, they should have some white "booties" where the last few tarsomeres are white-scaled.
