Promyrmekiaphila 3? - Promyrmekiaphila clathrata - Male
Long Ridge OSP, Santa Clara County, California, USA
October 9, 2013
Size: 17mm
(clathrata?) While we were trying to relocate some Euctenizid trapdoors around 10:00 p.m., Jack Owicki spotted this spider perched on the vertical trailbank about 5' up, perhaps 6-7' away from the burrow that I'd found and was looking at. I saw the door move, so that spider was home.
On 10/4, we also saw two others that look the same, at another preserve in the area. One was on the trail, and the other on a low trailbank. We'll try to post more photos.

If this is what it is, this one looks quite a bit different--sexual dimorphism?

(ID confirmed by M. Hedin)
