Size: 4.5mm
John is sorting a sample from a black light trap which has a lot of hydrophilids in it. We think this might be in the genus Helophorus with its grooved pronotum. We can take pictures from different perspective, if you need it. And we'll be posting more species.

Many species, and can be difficult to separate even with specimens.

I usually will need to "pull tails" and check out the male naughty bits to get these to species. :)
