Miridae? - Sinea spinipes
Wichita, Kansas, USA

I know this critter is somewhere on this site, but I just can't seem to come up with the right keyword to locate it. My best guess is Miridae. Am I even close? Thanks for your help.

Assassin
Try looking in the Reduviidae.

Yes, female Sinea sp.
This is a female specimen in the genus Sinea. The armed (spined) front tibia ('shins') are pretty distinctive for the genus.
