Vitacea cupressi - Male
Harshaw location, south of Patagonia, Santa Cruz County, Arizona, USA
August 5, 1999
Size: ~15mm
The rare moth was collected by JB Walsh in the Patagonia Mountains at the ghost mining town of Harshaw. He collected a mating pair at sundown. Very little is known about this western species which is closely related to the grape root borer (V. polistiformis).
