While the pose is atypical—the fly seemed to be stretching its wings—this image does allow a good view of the features, including wing venation.
One group of unrelated flies is called Flat-Footed Flies, well this fly is the opposite, with feet that curl like Aladdin's slippers. The curled feet don't show up in the other photo, so it must depend upon stance and posture.
