Mystery bee sedona AZ - Andrena
West Sedona, Yavapai County, Arizona, USA

Size: about 12 mm length
Several nests within the same area, but it looked like just one bee per nest. Not familiar with bees from this part of the world - any help with the genus is welcomed!

How to tell Adrena from digger bees?
Dear Keng-Lou,
Thanks for the id! Just wondering how to distinguish between Andreana and digger Bees (Anthophoridae, Anthophorini)? The legs of the bee seem very hairy and not what I am used to associating with Andrena. Thanks for any additional pointers!

Facial fovea + propodeal corbicula
The above features are good giveaways; also Andrena are generally more slender :)

Thank you!
Thanks.
