Wheel Bug (?) - Arilus cristatus

Wheel Bug (?) - Arilus cristatus
Appalachian Trail, Chester Gap, Warren County, Virginia, USA
October 19, 2013
Based upon http://pubs.ext.vt.edu/3104/3104-1585/3104-1585.html
"wheel bug" (Arilus cristatus) seems to be the closest match. It was busy eating another insect, which appeared to be an invasive stink bug (Halyomorpha halys).
