Size: 4mm
Moth larva?? Is the egg on top of the case accidental or related to the larva inside? This was walking around on a Garry oak (Quercus garryana) leaf.

This is so cool.
It would have been interesting to see if a larva emerged from the egg.

I didn't keep the larva though.

One of the "pistol" casebearers, decorated with what appears to be a nymphalid egg. Interesting find!
